Rick Wood

Bass/Baritone

Rick migrated from San Diego to the Bay Area to attend UC Berkeley. Five (arguably misspent) years later he barely had enough credits to graduate with a Cognitive Neuroscience degree, but had managed in that time to rack up two years in University Chorus, one year in Chamber Chorus, two years with the UC Men’s Octet, as well as a single show with the SF Opera (North America’s premiere of St. Francois d’Assise).

Post-graduation, Rick has sung a cappella with The Richter Scales and Ro Sham Bo, barbershop with Bari and the Three Bears, classical with the SF Pocket Opera (Macbeth), and sexy with the Rocky Horror Show (Pinole Playhouse). He is thrilled to now be singing jazzly with Oakland Jazz Choir.
